Read stories DonateWe’re spreading the magic of Christmas this year by collecting and recycling your trees to raise money for St Helena Hospice. Save yourself the trip to the recycling centre and let us take care of it for you!
We’re excited to announce that our Christmas Tree-cycle has expanded and we will now be collecting from the CO13, CO14, CO15 and CO16 postcodes alongside CO1-CO9 and CO11 on Saturday 8th January 2022.
Keep your tree out of landfill after the festive season, let us take it to be recycled and you can feel good knowing that your donation will allow us to help local people face incurable illness and bereavement.
Please note: At this time we are currently unable to collect from the CO10 or the CO12 postcode areas.
1. Register and donate (via the 'sign up for event' button above)
You donation will make a real difference to St Helena so please give generously.
£10 could pay for a Christmas feast for one so a patient staying at the hospice can enjoy a special meal.
£15 could provide support and comfort to an individual grieving the death of a loved one over the phone with a bereavement support worker.
£20 could provide vital care and support for patients at the end of their life from a registered nurse at the hospice for an hour.
2. Leave your real Christmas tree outside the registered address.
3. We'll collect it on the 8th January!
It's as simple as that.
Please take a moment to read the Terms and Conditions before registering.
Would you like to volunteer? If you would like to join us to collect trees on the day, or if you could supply us with a van for our volunteers to use, please contact the Fundraising team on fundraising@sthelena.org.uk or call our fundraising office on 01206 931 468.
The Christmas Tree-cycle is kindly sponsored by Tree & Lawn Company and supported by Birch Airfield, Colchester Borough Council, Essex County Council and Tendring District Council.
When you make a donation to St Helena Hospice, we are charged transactional fees by other companies, including fees for processing payments made to us, looking up addresses and validating bank account details.
We are very grateful to our donors who offer to offset some of these fees with a minor addition to their total amount. This is however completely optional and we are very grateful for your support whether or not you choose to contribute to processing fees.
CloseWe are able to claim an extra 25p on every £1 on your donation amount for no extra cost to you, as long as you are a UK tax payer; have paid enough income tax or capital gains tax in that tax year; and are donating your own money. For more information about Gift Aid, please visit www.gov.uk
