Walk 7 or 14 miles starting at either Clacton or Walton Pier on Sunday 8th May 2022 for our popular Pier to Pier walk.

Join hundreds of supporters who will be taking part to support their local hospice and remember their loved ones as they take in the beautiful Essex coast. This is a fantastic event for the whole family, including those four-legged friends as this event is dog friendly!

In order to cover the cost of organising this event, and to provide every participant with a medal, we are charging a registration fee of £5. Children under the age of 5 go free.

The registration fee only covers the costs of running this event, so we ask each participant to raise a minimum of £50 sponsorship to help support local people who face incurable illness and bereavement.

Registration opens at 9.00am. There will be a warm up at 9.45am and the walk begins at 10.00am from both piers.

We've been using the same route for Pier to Pier for around 11 years and many wheelchair users and people with puschairs have completed it in the past. We are aware that the range of people’s disabilities are vast and there is no ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to meeting everyone's needs. The route is mostly flat, with some hills, and any areas with steps also have a ramp which will be signposted clearly. If you have any concerns we'd be happy to discuss this further, please call us on 01206 931 468.
