The Birkett Long £50 Challenge

We've teamed up with Birkett Long Solicitors to bring you the Birkett Long £50 Challenge! Put your creativity to the test and see how much your organisation or group can raise for St Helena Hospice.

What is the Birkett Long £50 Challenge?

At the start of the challenge you'll be given £50 which has kindly been donated by Birkett Long Solicitors. You'll then have 10 weeks to turn your £50 into as much money as possible for St Helena Hospice. How you do this is up to you! You could use your stake money to purchase ingredients for a bake sale, or cover the cost of printing posters to promote a live music night. Once your event is over, you can choose to stop there or you could re-invest in another initiative and grow your £50 into hundreds or maybe even thousands for St Helena Hospice!

We've seen teams use their entrepreneurial skills to bring all sorts of exciting and innovative ideas to life and we can't wait to see what you come up with in 2022!

The difference your fundraising could make...

£520 could provide vital care and support for patients at the end of their lives from a registered nurse at the hospice for 24 hours.

£1,000 could provide 50 families who are in distress with expert advice and guidance over the phone from our 24/7 SinglePoint advice line

£2,000 could help 60 patients return home to their loved ones after a stay at the hospice, being supported by a nurse to help get their pain under control.

Processing fees

When you make a donation to St Helena Hospice, we are charged transactional fees by other companies, including fees for processing payments made to us, looking up addresses and validating bank account details.

We are very grateful to our donors who offer to offset some of these fees with a minor addition to their total amount. This is however completely optional and we are very grateful for your support whether or not you choose to contribute to processing fees.
